About the Role
We’re a mission-driven and dedicated team working to improve the cybersecurity and operational resilience of Australia’s electricity sector.
We’re now looking for a talented Full Stack Software Developer to help build our advanced threat detection and incident response product suite. In this role, you will build web applications that enable ingestion of petabytes of data, and analysis to help identify and understand cybersecurity threats and operational outages. Your work will directly support the resilience of Australia’s electricity sector, giving operators the tools they need to detect issues earlier and respond more effectively. You will leverage your expertise in Kotlin and React to develop and test high-quality, secure code. You will also develop and publish APIs for our B2B customers, ensuring our products integrate seamlessly into their environments. Working closely with our team, you will help shape solutions that address operational security challenges.
This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful challenges that have a direct impact on national infrastructure. The software you build will help energy providers detect issues faster, respond more effectively, and operate with greater confidence in an increasingly complex threat environment.
Requirements
Our full stack software developer will be required for work on a threat detection and incident response product suite
Develop web applications for ingestion of data, and data analysis functionality to understand risks and cybersecurity threats and infrastructure outages
Develop and test high quality code in Kotlin and React
Develop and publish APIs with external documentation for B2B customers
Work closely with our internal team and early operational security partners to ensure solutions meet real-world needs
Skills and Experience
Must have:
You have 3+ years' experience in full-stack software development, with a solid grounding in TDD and CI/CD workflows
You are familiar with Kotlin + Micronaut or similar
You are familiar with React or other modern UI frameworks
You enjoy working in a genuinely agile environment
You are a pleasure to work with, and expect the same of your colleagues
You understand that constant learning and continuous improvement are part of the job and always will be!
Nice to have:
Cybersecurity domain experience
Solid grasp of encryption technologies
Familiarity with Ruby and / or Python
Familiarity with K8s, Kafka
Experience with unsupervised ML on time series information feed such as logs and telemetry
