CAPA is a cybersecurity company purpose-built for energy sector organisations. We combine industry-leading technology with deep energy sector expertise and regulatory knowledge to help our customers be secure and compliant across the project lifecycle.
Our Origin.
CAPA was founded in Australia in 2022, where electricity systems are leading the world in the uptake of distributed solar, batteries, and electric vehicles. With deep expertise spanning enterprise cloud, IoT, electricity markets, and critical infrastructure OT cybersecurity, we came together to solve a growing gap: how to protect renewable energy assets from digital threats.
We are an Australian based company, but our clients are global.
Today, we work with global OEM vendors, generator and storage operators, retailers, transmission and networks and governments to strengthen digital resilience across the grid.
As more countries shift toward renewable-led systems, CAPA is securing our decarbonised electricity systems around the world.

Phil Blythe
Phil boasts 25+ years' experience in the electricity sector across the UK and Australia. He focuses on cyber intelligence for electricity grids. He remains active in cybersecurity, and compliance tech, advocating for policy and innovation to address the climate challenge.

Mitch O-Neill
Mitch has 10+ years in energy, focusing on software, policy, and cybersecurity. He leads work securing distributed energy systems and advises utilities on OT risk. He’s driven by challenges at the intersection of energy, and cybersecurity.
Principal Software Engineer
Ian Sutton
Ian has experience as a full stack developer and principal engineer. He works across the stack to design and build reliable systems, combining practical coding with technical oversight. He enjoys solving complex problems, creating software that makes a difference.
