About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build our advanced threat detection and incident response product suite.
This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful challenges that have a direct impact on national infrastructure. The software you build will help energy providers detect issues faster, respond more effectively, and operate with greater confidence in an increasingly complex threat environment.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build and maintain web applications that ingest and analyse large scale operational and cybersecurity data.
- Develop product features that help customers identify, understand and respond to cybersecurity threats and operational outages.
- Build and enhance our platform using Kotlin, React and modern cloud-native technologies.
- Develop and publish APIs for B2B customers, ensuring seamless integration with customer environments and third-party systems.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, shape solutions and translate business needs into technical outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders and customers to deliver secure, reliable and scalable software.
- Contribute to technical design decisions, product direction and continuous improvement of CAPA's threat detection and operational intelligence platform.
- Take ownership of features and solutions from concept through to deployment and customer adoption.
Requirements
Skills and Experience
Must have:
Strong software engineering fundamentals.
Experience building and supporting production software systems.
Experience working directly with customers, stakeholders or end users.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Experience developing backend services using Kotlin, Java or similar JVM technologies.
Experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript or similar frontend frameworks.
Comfortable working in a small, fast moving team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to engage effectively with customers and non-technical stakeholders.
Interest in cybersecurity, operational resilience or critical infrastructure challenges.
Nice to have:
Cybersecurity domain experience
Experience in energy, utilities, telecommunications or critical infrastructure.
Solid grasp of encryption technologies
Familiarity with Ruby and/or Python
Familiarity with K8s, Kafka
Experience with unsupervised ML on time series information feed such as logs and telemetry
